Interim Summer Minister Julia Khan

Julia Khan is a writer, preacher, educator, and minister passionate about engaged and dynamic ministry. Julia is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a BA in Sociology and Union Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree in Pastoral Ministry & Theology. Her written work has appeared in an edited anthology, Orthodox Monasticism Past and Present. In addition to serving Westhampton, Julia also currently serves as the co-chair of The Praxis Forum, an organization dedicated to bringing religious scholarship into spiritual practice, and as an Analyst for the Westar Institute..Julia previously served as the Minister for Spiritual Formation at St. Mark's Church in the Bowery, as well as a Chaplain at Soldier On, a non-profit providing housing and services to homeless and struggling veterans.  In her spare time, Julia enjoys practicing and teaching martial arts, a passion of hers for over thirty years.
